Dr. LU Diannan obtained his bachelor's and Ph.D. degrees in Chemical Engineering from Tsinghua University in 2000 and 2006, respectively. He worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Tsinghua University from 2006 to 2008. In 2008, Dr. Lu joined the Department of Chemical Engineering at Tsinghua University. From 2011 to 2012, he served as a visiting scholar at the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Princeton University. Currently, Dr. Lu is an full Professor and Doctoral Supervisor specializing in molecular thermodynamics and AI4S, with a particular focus on biomolecules, materials design, property prediction and nanofluids.
Dr. Lu teaches Physical Chemistry and Thermodynamics to undergraduate students and Advanced Thermodynamics to graduate students. He has published over 150 papers cited in SCI, five reviews, contributed to four book chapters, completed one translation, authored one textbook, and holds 20 authorized patents and 3 software copyrights. In 2008, Dr. Lu was awarded the National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation of PR China. He was selected for the Tsinghua 211 Project and the Importation and Development of High-Caliber Talents Project of Beijing Municipal Institutions. In 2017, he received the First-Class Award in the Teaching Competition for Young Faculty from the Beijing Municipal Education Bureau. In 2018, he was honored with the Best Teaching Award for Young Faculty by Tsinghua University. In 2020, he won the 4th Outstanding Young Teacher Award of Beijing.
